Financial Reporting Overview

Welcome to the Financial Reporting Department. This department is responsible for the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), the Annual Bond Indebtedness and Long-Term Obligations Report, and well as various other monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

WEDGE

The WEDGE application is to be used by state agencies to prepare and submit year end GAAP basis financial information for use in the compilation of the ACFR.

SCO563 Grants/Contracts

The SCO563 application is to be used by state agencies on an annual basis to provide detailed information related to grants/contracts in effect as of year end.

Locally Held Funds

The Locally Held Funds application is to be used by state agencies to submit the quarterly C-17 reports for funds held outside of the State Treasury.

Bond Tracking System (BITS)

The BITS application is to be used by state agencies to notify the Comptroller of new bond issuances and payments made on outstanding issuances for all general obligation, special obligation, and revenue bonds.

The Comptroller's Office is required by statute to list the agencies that are delinquent in their reporting responsibilities to the Illinois Office of Comptroller. Agencies are required by statute to provide their financial data by October 31st  of every year so that the Comptroller's Office may complete its reporting responsibilities in a timely manner.
